Las Vegas Strip Club Crazy Horse 3 Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments

The club is accepting bitcoin payments only for bottle service, but plans to expand transactions to food, admission and tips.

The Crazy Horse 3 gentlemen’s club has announced it has become the first major entertainment venue in Las Vegas to accept Bitcoin using the Lightning Network.

The nightspot will implement the layer two Bitcoin scaling solution enabling punters to make payments in a flash. It has integrated BTC payment processor OpenNode which will initially allow guests to securely purchase VIP bottle packages using BTC through the venue’s website.

According to the announcement, the Bitcoin payments rollout includes plans to accept the digital asset for admission, food selections, craft cocktails and the club’s signature “dance dollars” which are used for tipping entertainers. In other words, Lightning for lap dances.

Crazy Horse 3 publicist, Lindsay Feldman, said that the club is embracing the opportunity to accept Bitcoin as a way to deliver convenience and an additional level of anonymity for its guests, adding:

“The club’s partnership with OpenNode allows us to cater to our tech-savvy customers’ needs by offering an innovative form of payment that’s both seamless and secure.”

OpenNode is a Lightning Network-powered BTC payments platform that operates in 126 countries and has more than 8,000 users. The platform will allow the venue to receive BTC payments directly without the involvement of third-party payment processors or associated fees.

The adult industry has embraced cryptocurrencies over the years as much through necessity as choice, with payment processors either banning such businesses or charging them exorbitant fees for being “high risk”.

Bitcoin’s leading layer two scaling solution has seen steady growth over the past year. Since the beginning of 2021, LN nodes have increased by 56% to a record high of 12,844 at the time of writing according to BitcoinVisuals.

The number of unique channels connecting nodes for the first time has also seen impressive growth this year with an increase of 54% since January 1.

Bitcoin and crypto acceptance in Sin City is also showing growth. In May, the Resorts World Las Vegas casino-resort announced a partnership with crypto exchange Gemini to allow patrons to make payments using BTC and cryptocurrencies using their exchange wallets.

The Amazing Resorts World Las Vegas Opens

Officially one of the largest Las Vegas casinos ever built. The $4.3 billion complex is huge among Strip resorts and it has more than 40 restaurants. Their partnership with Gemini, aims to make Resorts World Las Vegas one of the most crypto-friendly resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.

The massive new resort brings three new hotels, dozens of restaurants, and more to the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas is back, people. The indefatigable destination is on the upswing, as visitors are rushing back to the ever-popular escape where round-the-clock entertainment is once again the norm.

Starting Thursday (6/24/2021), travelers will have a new option on where to stay, as Resorts World Las Vegas officially opens its doors on June 24. The mega-resort is “the first ground-up development on the Strip in over a decade,” Travel + Leisure has reported, located just north of the Fashion Show Las Vegas mall and near the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“Particularly after the past year, travelers are looking for fun, exciting destinations to explore,” said Matt Schuyler, Hilton’s chief brand officer, in an email to T+L. “And according to a new survey conducted by Hilton, nearly a quarter of Americans ranked Las Vegas at the top of their must-visit destination list, with 20 percent citing the Las Vegas Strip as a wish list sight to see.”

The $4.3 billion wonderland will have 3,506 hotel rooms split across three Hilton properties; more than 40 places to eat and drink, including a Singapore-inspired food hall called Famous Foods Street Eats; a 5.5-acre “pool complex”; a 5,000-person concert and event venue; and tons of on-property shopping. A huge casino will have slots, table games, poker, plus a sports book and high-limit rooms.

“Las Vegas continues to cement itself as the entertainment capital of the world and is seeing exponential growth to attract visitors for experiences that span sports, music, and entertainment,” said Scott Sibella, president of Resorts World Las Vegas, in an email to T+L.
